Our company has produced a high-definition ceramic replica of the nationally designated Important Cultural Property “Two-Color Purification Vessel,” excavated in Koriyama City, Fukushima Prefecture.

  • High-definition replica of the completed nationally designated Important Cultural Property “Two-Color Purification Vessel”

The “Two-Color Purification Vessel” is a nationally designated Important Cultural Property, discovered in 1938 at the Nanatsuike Ruins in Koriyama City. It is a rare example of polychrome glazed pottery found throughout Japan. However, due to restrictions on the number of days and conditions for public display, it cannot be exhibited permanently. This replica was commissioned by Koriyama City with the aim of creating an environment where many people can experience this valuable cultural property up close and to widely convey its appeal.
The replica, created using 3D data and high-definition image data, reproduces the shape, color tones, and even the weight. It is on permanent display at the Koriyama museum of History, which opened on March 15th.

Additionally, to promote the Two-Color Purification Vessel to museums and educational institutions nationwide, plans include utilizing replicas, primarily through educational programs, such as loaning them out.
The ceramic replicas are highly durable and do not discolor, enabling them to convey the cultural value of the original artifacts to many people. They are expected to help deepen local pride and affection.
