On June 19, in conjunction with the renovation of Resona Bank's Kitahama Branch, the ceramic board artwork "Tenjin Matsuri (a part of Tenjin Festival)" (by Ikuta Kachojo, Japanese-style painter), which had been installed at the branch, was relocated to Resona Bank's Osaka Sales Department (in the Resona Head Office Building).
This work, which depicts a scene from the Tenjin Festival in fine detail with a hand-painted brush, was produced in 1977 and installed in January of the following year. At that time, our company did not have silk-screening technology, and the original was copied onto ceramic boards by hand. It is a valuable work that tells the story of our company's founding.
The ceramic board was in beautiful condition with no damage or fading, and with only a simple cleaning, it was ready to be moved to its new location. After 50 years of careful use, we are pleased to announce that this piece of artwork will continue to be used as an eye-catcher for visitors to Resona Bank.
We hope you will take a look at it when you are in the neighborhood.
