Two giant ceramic boards of "ONE PIECE" were installed at Amu Plaza Kumamoto, which had its grand opening on April 23, and the unveiling ceremony was held on April 22, 2021.
 
Amu Plaza Kumamoto is a commercial facility in the new JR Kumamoto Station building, and has been running an opening campaign featuring the popular manga "ONE PIECE" with the keyword "AMU VENTURE Let's have an adventure*". This year, the ceramic boards were used as a symbol of the revival and opening of the new building, which marked the 5-year anniversary of the Kumamoto earthquake.
 
In the work written by Oda Eiichiro, an author from Kumamoto Prefecture, the characters of "ONE PIECE" and “Kumamon” go on an adventurous journey on a train with Kumamoto's specialties and attractions, and a special illustration of "Hinokuni Fukko Hen" donated to the "ONE PIECE Kumamoto Revival Project" are drawn back to back. It will be used as a symbol of the facility, sending out energy from the gateway to Kumamoto.
 
The ceramic board is 3.5 meters wide and 1.8 meters high. Taking advantage of the high water resistance of the ceramic board, a 10-meter high waterfall is placed in the background. The colors of the original painting with a sense of transparency, which is very difficult to achieve with ceramics, are reproduced.
 
It is installed in the facility's three-dimensional garden, "Forest of Discovery.
