2021/05/20

A three-dimensional measurement of "The Garden of Daubigny", Van Gogh's last years of work in the collection of the Hiroshima Museum of Art, has been reproduced on a ceramic board.

"The Garden of Daubigny" was painted by Van Gogh in 1890, two weeks before his death. This reproduction is expected to create an opportunity for many people to view this valuable work, and also to draw attention to the real "Garden of Daubigny" in the collection of the Hiroshima Museum of Art, thus bringing a lively atmosphere to the city.
In the production of the ceramic board, we took three-dimensional measurements of the original painting and edited and processed it based on the data to express the unevenness. The colors and textures were also faithfully reproduced in consultation with the curators.

  • Reproduction of unevenness by three-dimensional measurement
  • Final inspection with persons concerned
